The chair has been painted and enhanced, the seat has been improved and covered.

It's a chair again!
   

Signed, sealed and ready to be delivered. Titled "Car Seat"

The sun is still shining, so here goes the first coat of paint. 

First coat is on the chair, it's cold out here, time to get inside and bring the chair inside. I should be able to paint the 2nd coat on inside ! 

And the Seat ! Some measuring and cutting and just a few staples !

It's time to finish sanding and then paint the chair. It didn't really work to sand inside as I don't have a good studio space for that, so while the sun is shining I'll bundle up and get to work !  It's a little nippy outside, but the sun is great and as long as I keep moving...

And then there's the issue of the seat, there really wasn't any support in the center.  It didn't occur to me to sit in the chair when I picked it up.  Now there's some support for your seat on the seat! 

The basic chair frame is in good shape. The seat has it's own frame, not exactly what I was expecting.  I'll work on the seat later.

Now to the sanding....

The chair is going to get freshened up quite abit. With a new seat and fresh paint. Here are some snaps as I start. 

Removing the seat from the chair wasn't so hard, only 2 of the 4 screws were actually holding.

There were certainly alot of staples and a few carpet tacks holding that fabric in place !

How many tools does it take to pull staples ?
